HallowEast 9 Lives in Here! Registration Now Open!

HallowEast, the Charleston Main Streets East End Halloween Celebration that spotlights the spookiest time of year, is back with 9 LIVES!

HallowEast 9 Lives runs October 27 & 28, 2017. Check out the list of events:

HallowEast – ArtMares : Friday, October 27th 5:30-8:00PM @ Outta Time Excape Rooms

Experience talented artists and artisans showing their scary side during ArtMares! This even is free to the public (donations are appreciated) and includes live music and an exhilarating exhibition of exciting artworks!
HallowEast – Friday Night Freak Show : Friday, October 27th 8:00PM Doors Open, 9:00PM Movie Begins @ Appalachian Power Park

Dance to the Time Warp with your favorite characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show. The movie will come to life on the jumbo screen in the Appalachian Power Park! Admission is free and seating will take place in the stands (no need to bring a chair). Prop bags and concessions are available for purchase on site – no outside food or drink please.

New for this year – Would you like to Time Warp in style? We are reserving Viewing Suites for up a party as large as 16 people! Each suite includes 3 Pizzas, 75 wints, 2 cases of beer, & 1 case of soda/water! Please contact adam@charlestonmainstreets for more information about reserving the best seat in the house – limited number of suites available.
Kids Costume Contest: Saturday, October 28 12:00-1:00PM @ Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia Sculpture Garden

HallowEast is a family affair! Join us at the Clay Center some fall fun! Costumes can be spooky, silly, super, or sweet – just have fun! We’ll be gathering some of our favorite freaky friends to judge the most creative costume of the bunch! Grand Prize winner will receive a Classic Birthday Bash from the Clay Center and two dozen cupcakes from Starlings Coffee & Provisions to celebrate their special day in style! Runners up will receive a family pack of museum and planetarium passes.

First 50 kids in costume receive a special treat bag!

This is a FREE event and children 1-12 years of age are eligible to participate. (Admission to the Clay Center Avamapto Discover Museum is not included and is available for $7 adults and $5 to participate in the pumpkin drop. Individuals participating in the costume contest will be granted entry to the sculpture garden only).
HallowEast Costume Crawl: Saturday, October 28 6:00PM – 12:00AM on Washington Street East (and various locations)


The freaks come out at night! The annual Costume Crawl kicks off at 6:00PM with registration on Washington Street East! A variety of drink specials are available to those who register as well as live entertainment and tons of freaky fun! Register now to receive a HallowEast t-shirt and can coozie – supplies are limited!

Schedule of Events:

6:00PM – 8:00PM Coach Kidd from Electric 102.7FM will be spinning your favorite spooky tunes!

8:00PM – 9:00PM The Spanglers take the stage

9:00PM – 9:30PM The Crawl for the Crown!!! All in costume can participate in the battle for the best costume of the night from our special guest judges! No need to register in advance – sign up the night of the event. The Ms. and Mr. HallowEast winners will receive a special package courtesy of Mike Winland-Studios

9:30PM – 11:00PM Headliners – Beggars Clan
