The East End Zombie Walk returns for the fourth year to the HallowEast lineup this Saturday evening. The walking dead will gather at Moxxee Coffee, corner of Lee and Morris Streets, at 6:30 pm to begin their lurch through Charleston’s historic East End. From Moxxee, the undead will travel south on Morris Street, east on Quarrier Street and north on Elizabeth Street, ending the walk at the location of our Costume Pub Crawl. Walkers wishing to stay for the pub crawl can pre-register here or head to Frutcake for onsite registration after the walk.
During the walk, keep your eye out for participants in our first ever HallowEast Run Like Hell Zombie 5K benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Charleston East End Main Street. They’ll be running for their lives from the 125 zombies participating in the attack zones along the race route. As a zombie walk participant, you’re welcome to moan and groan in their direction, but please let them pass without any physical contact. They’ll need to be infection-free for the remainder of the race as they try to make it through 3 miles and 5 encounters with attack zone zombies who are charged with stealing their life flags.
So if you’re not an attack zone zombie participating in 5K, stay calm and stagger on in your most gruesome zombie garb! Check out PopCult for some great zombie make-up tutorials and meet us at Moxxee!
The Main Street Murder Mystery Party returns to HallowEast this Thursday evening with a brand new show by West Virginia’s premiere improve comedy troupe, No Pants Players.
Prior to Dinner at the End of the World, each member of the troupe has attended a different Halloween party at which some apocalyptic event has occurred. They’ve arrived at the Charleston Woman’s Club in hopes of preventing yet another tragedy only to find that another poor soul has been murdered. Who has been killed? Why? And who is responsible? Can they stop this downward spiral of terror and chaos? Will they survive the night? Will you?
Join East End Main Street and No Pants Players for a night of mystery, murder, mayhem and merriment. The show is all new, and the menu is too. Enjoy dishes from Paterno’s at the Park, Umami, Main Kwong, Bluegrass Kitchen, Little India and Frutcake. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be served as well, and are included with the purchase of your ticket.
The HallowEast Murder Mystery: Dinner at the End of the World is sponsored by Cipriani & Werner, PC.
